Montana Active Road Incidents — MTDOT Live Map
0
0 active road incidents on MTDOT-managed routes (crashes, fires, hazards).
What this means
These are crashes, lane closures, work zones, and other events that the state DOT considers active on state-managed routes (interstates, US highways, state routes). Severity tags help you decide whether to reroute or wait.
What you can do
- Before a long drive, check this page (or your state DOT’s 511 site) for incidents on your planned route.
- For severe lane-closure events, allow at least 30 extra minutes — most state DOTs update clearance time once a tow is dispatched.
- If you witness a crash, call 911 first. For non-emergency roadside assistance, dial 511 in most states.
